नवदुर्गा- तीसरी चंद्रघंटा

नवरात्री पर्व में माँ दुर्गाजी की तीसरी शक्ति का नाम “चंद्रघंटा” है। नवरात्रि उपासना में तीसरे दिन चंद्रघंटा की पूजा का अत्यधिक महत्व है नवरात्री मे इस दिन इन्हीं के विग्रह का पूजन-आराधन किया जाता है। नवरात्र मे इस दिन साधक का मन ‘मणिपूर’ चक्र में प्रविष्ट होता है।

माँ दुर्गा देवी की कृपा से इस दिन साधक को अलौकिक वस्तुओं के दर्शन होते हैं। और दिव्य सुगन्धियों का अनुभव होता है और कई तरह की पवित्र और मनमोहक ध्वनियाँ सुनाई देने लगती हैं।

शास्त्रो के आधार पर दुर्गा देवी का यह स्वरूप परम शांतिदायक और कल्याणकारी माना गया है। इसीलिए पौराणिक कथाओं मे कहा जाता है कि हमें निरन्तर चंद्रघंटा देवी के पवित्र विग्रह को ध्यान में रखकर ही साधना करना चाहिए। उनका ध्यान मात्र ही हमारे इसलोक और परलोक दोनों के लिए अत्यंत कल्याणकारी और सद्गति देने वाला है।

इस चंद्रघंटा देवी के मस्तक पर घंटे के आकार का आधा चन्द्र सुशोभित है। इसीलिए इस देवी को चन्द्रघण्टा कहा गया है। इनके शरीर का रंग सोने के समान बहुत चमकीला है। चंद्रघंटा देवी के दस हाथ हैं। वे खडग और अन्य प्रकार के अस्त्र-शस्त्र से विभूषित हैं।

अन्य देवीयों के जैसी सिंह पर सवार इस देवी की मुद्रा युद्ध के लिए उद्धत रहने की है। पुराण मे कहा गया है कि इसके घण्टे सी भयानक ध्वनि से अत्याचारी दानव-दैत्य और राक्षस काँपते रहते हैं। नवरात्रि में तीसरे दिन चंद्रघंटा देवी की पूजा का विशेष महत्व है। इस देवी की कृपा से साधक को अलौकिक वस्तुओं के दर्शन तो होते ही हैं। साथ मे दिव्य सुगंधियों का अनुभव होता है उपासना के इन क्षणों में साधक को बहुत सावधान रहना चाहिए।

चंद्रघंटा देवी की आराधना से साधक के अन्दर वीरता और निर्भयता के साथ ही सौम्यता और विनम्रता का भी पूर्ण विकास होता है। इसलिए साधक को चाहिए कि मन, वचन और कर्म के साथ ही काया को विहित विधि-विधान के अनुसार परिशुद्ध और पवित्र करके चन्द्रघण्टा के शरणागत होकर उनकी उपासना-आराधना करना चाहिए। इससे साधक सारे कष्टों से मुक्त होकर सहज ही परम पद के अधिकारी बन सकते हैं। यह देवी अत्यंत ही कल्याणकारी है।

मन्त्र:

पिण्डजप्रवरारूढा चण्डकोपास्त्रकेर्युता।
प्रसादं तनुते मह्यं चन्द्रघण्टेति विश्रुता॥

माता चंद्रघंटा जी की आरती

कहानी:

पौराणिक कथा के अनुसार, माता दुर्गा ने मां चंद्रघंटा का अवतार तब लिया था जब दानव-दैत्य और राक्षस का आतंक बढ़ने लगा था। उस समय महिषासुर नाम के राक्षस का भयंकर युद्ध देवताओं से चल रहा था। महिषासुर युद्ध करके देवराज इंद्र का सिंहासन प्राप्त करना चाहता था। वह स्वर्ग लोक पर राज करने की अपनी इच्छा पूरी करने के लिए ही यह युद्ध कर रहा था।

जब देवताओं को उसकी इस भयानक इच्छा का पता चला तो वे अत्यधिक परेशान हो गए और भगवान ब्रह्मा, विष्णु और महेश के सामने पहुंचे। तब ब्रह्मा, विष्णु और महेश ने देवताओं की बात सुन कर घोर क्रोध प्रकट किया और क्रोध आने पर उन तीनों के मुख से जो ऊर्जा निकली। उस ऊर्जा से ही एक देवी अवतरित हुईं।

तब उस देवी को भगवान शंकर ने अपना त्रिशूल, भगवान विष्णु ने अपना चक्र, इंद्र ने अपना घंटा, सूर्य ने अपना तेज और तलवार और सिंह प्रदान किया। इसके बाद मां चंद्रघंटा ने महिषासुर का वध कर देवताओं और स्वर्ग लोक की रक्षा की।

On the basis of the scriptures, this form of Durga Devi is considered to be extremely peaceful and benevolent. That is why it is said in mythology that we should continuously do spiritual practice keeping in mind the holy deity of Chandraghanta Devi. His meditation alone is extremely beneficial and giving salvation for both our world and the hereafter.

Half moon shaped like an hourglass is adorned on the head of this Chandraghanta Devi. That is why this goddess is called Chandraghanta. Their body color is very bright like gold. Chandraghanta Devi has ten hands. They are adorned with khadag and other types of weapons.

Like other goddesses, the posture of this goddess, riding on a lion, is to be ready for war. It has been said in the Puranas that the tyrannical demons and demons keep trembling with the terrible sound of its bell. The worship of Chandraghanta Devi on the third day of Navratri has special significance. By the grace of this goddess, the seeker gets the vision of supernatural things. Along with this, divine fragrances are experienced, in these moments of worship, the seeker should be very careful.

Worshiping Chandraghanta Devi brings full development of valor and fearlessness in the seeker as well as gentleness and humility. Therefore the seeker should purify and purify the body along with the mind, word and deed according to the prescribed rituals and worship them by taking refuge in Chandraghanta. By this, the seeker can easily become an officer of the supreme status by getting rid of all the troubles. This goddess is very beneficial.

Story:

According to the legend, Mata Durga took the incarnation of Maa Chandraghanta when the terror of demon-daitya and demon started increasing. At that time a fierce battle of demon named Mahishasura was going on with the gods. Mahishasura wanted to get the throne of Devraj Indra by fighting. He was doing this war only to fulfill his desire to rule the heavenly world.

When the gods came to know of this terrible desire of his, they became very upset and approached Lord Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh. Then Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh expressed great anger after listening to the deities and the energy that came out of the mouth of all three of them when they got angry. From that energy, a goddess incarnated.

Then Lord Shankar gave his trident, Lord Vishnu his chakra, Indra his bell, Surya his sharp and sword and lion to that goddess. After this, Mother Chandraghanta killed Mahishasura and protected the gods and the heavenly world.
